These are the first spectacled bears in Peru with GPS collars on, it's really exciting. People have tried for years to capture spectacled bears using traps but we bought the dan inject co2 pistol and we just free range darted them, and it worked!!.

The dogs are darted as part of a long-term large carnivore study in Zambia to estimate populations and evaluate threats to their persistence, as Zambia is one of a handful of countries left in Africa that are considered to have viable populations of this species. Because wild dogs are relatively small targets and are highly endangered, the DanInject guns provide the essential accuracy, reliability and low-impact shots needed for darting operations.
